The Micro-enterprise Inventors Program of Oregon (MIPO) and the Oregon Small Business Development Center Network (OSBDC) will host the SBIR/STTR 2012 National Conference: Crack the Code an event that welcomes entrepreneurs, businesses, government agencies, innovators, universities, and community partners to Portland, Oregon.

SBIR/STTR are competitive federal government grant programs that fund small businesses to develop innovative, high-risk technologies with the goal of increasing private sector commercialization into the marketplace.

The United States Patent and Trademark Office (USPTO) offers many different programs for inventors, entrepreneurs and small businesses. This presentation will inform the audience about three of the newer programs that are aimed at providing valuable assistance in understanding their intellectual property protection needs, gaining access to legal assistance and moving their patent applications through the USPTO without delays.
